A testament to old-world craftsmanship and manufacturing. We’re very happy to offer on consignment this beautiful Ferrari Fly Yellow 1976 308 GTB. Introduced at the 1975 Paris Motor Show the 308 would take over from the Dino and allow Pininfarina to step in as the designer. The look was modernized with pop up headlights, small thin bumpers, low slung windshield, and roof all the way to new signature quad taillights. With innovative design comes innovative production and Ferrari really pushed the boundaries with their Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic(FRP) body construction. The process grew so expensive and time-consuming the process was scrapped in mid 77 to steel body which added over 331 lbs to the ever light 2315 lbs. Production is among the lowest of any non numbered Ferrari at just 808 examples. This example here was delivered new Feb 9th, 1977 out of Grab Prix SSR Co in New York State. The car would remain in The US until eventually being imported into Ontario in 2010. Extensive Service Records exist from 2010 to 2020 showing a series of services. The car also retains its factory books, tool kit, spare tire and jack. Inquire for more information and please ask about potential lease structures available for this beautiful and highly rare piece of Ferrari history.
